    Captain Aurelia Vladimir, born in Bulgaria in 1994, began his maritime career in 2011 as a deckhand after graduating from Maritime High School St. Nikolai Chudotvorets in Varna. Through years of dedicated service and progression, he attained the rank of Captain in 2022, having commanded several motor yachts of varying sizes and styles. With over 13 years of experience in the yachting industry, he possesses a comprehensive skill set in navigation, ship handling, and leadership, cultivated through diverse experiences at sea. Captain Vladimir’s leadership style is characterized by confidence, adaptability, and a collaborative approach, earning him respect from his crew and guests alike. He is a kind soul, very friendly and determined to provide the best sailing experience for his guests! As the Captain of the Aurelia, he brings a strong foundation in seamanship and a commitment to excellence, guiding the vessel with skill and determination on every voyage.

    Meet Krasse, the talented Chef from Bulgaria who is excited to be a part of your crew on board Aurelia. With over 15 years of culinary expertise in diverse cuisines, Krasse has honed his skills in some of London’s most cherished restaurants and hotels. Confident that your culinary journey on board will be extraordinary, Krasse believes that being a Chef involves more than just cooking—it’s about infusing emotions and sensations into every dish, truly stimulating the Art of Senses.
    Krasse’s culinary adventures have taken him to various corners of the world, including England, America, Cambodia, Tanzania, and France. This globetrotting experience has granted him the privilege to explore and master the art of crafting authentic cuisines, to adapt to different environments and being creative.
    Beyond his culinary prowess, Krasse brings a unique touch to Aurelias menu by incorporating sports nutrition into his creations, drawing inspiration from his personal experience as an athlete. Dedicated to providing more than just a meal, Krasse is committed to offering an immersive and delightful dining experience during your time on this catamaran.

    *In addition to his excellent cooking skills, Krasse is also a famous ultra-marathon athlete. With over 60 marathons completed, he has run marathons in the Arctic, Cambodia and in the Sahara, alongside diverse companions like Maasai and Buddhists. He also organizes charity runs in Bulgaria for children with onco-hematological diseases. Krasse’s last project was in 2023 by isolating himself in a closed space in a public place in Sofia, in order to raise funds for addiction prevention.

    Deck/Stew: Michaela Botha
    Meet Michaela, the vibrant deckhand and stew from South Africa, whose love for the sea and cooking reflect her bold personality. Born in 1998, she’s not just a passionate chef but also a skilled barista and mixologist, having completed introductory courses in both. With a background as an animal behaviorist and military police dog trainer, Michaela brings a unique perspective to the crew. Since joining the yachting industry in 2021, she’s proven to be a quick learner, thriving on challenges that help her grow both personally and professionally. She is efficient, organized, hard-working and a talented co-skipper/deckhand. Fluent in English and Afrikaans, Michaela’s infectious happiness and great sense of humor ensure that every moment onboard is filled with laughter and joy, making her an invaluable member of the Aurelia team.
